The traditional sports and tourist rally for employees and cadets was organized by the Mogilev Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the university reported.
“For nine years, the Mogilev Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has united cadets, the permanent staff of the institute and members of their families at a sports and tourism festival. The venue remains the same every year, emphasizing the constancy and will of the institute’s personnel to follow their traditions. This time the event was dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation and the Day of National Unity, the organizers said. - The main heroes of the autumn sports and tourism festival are always the cadets of the police department. But getting into the number of participants in the holiday is not so easy: cadets with good academic performance and discipline have an advantage. Thus, the best representatives from each course gathered to compete for the title of the best team.”
Before the start of the sports festival, the cadets gathered in a historical place - at mass graves in the village of Dolgiy Mokh, Chaussky district, in order to honor the memory of the victims. “Chaussky land is one continuous memorial. There are more than a hundred mass and single graves and memorial signs. Let the exploits of those who went through the harsh trials of the Great Patriotic War and those who were unable to witness the glorious Victory become a moral lesson for all of us, a lesson of perseverance, courage and heroism,” said Colonel, deputy head of the institute for ideological work and personnel support police Dmitry Ponudaev .
After the laying ceremony, the cadets arrived at the venue of the sports competition. The cadets had to go through eight tests: a volleyball tournament, tug-of-war, an obstacle course, a power relay race, the “Corn Hall” and “In the Same Rhythm” competitions, as well as compete in the best organization of camp life and preparing treats. In the afternoon, the cadets were joined by staff from the institute.
The head of the Mogilev Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Major General of Police Valery Polishchuk, summed up the results and congratulated the winners . “At our sports and tourism festival dedicated to National Unity Day, I am pleased to see with what passion and passion you competed, how you supported each other and your rivals. I hope that the tradition of holding such events will continue,” he said.
This year, the fourth-year team from the police department won.
The celebration continued with a disco and songs around the fire. Its final chord was the festive fireworks.
