Belarus offers long-term cooperation, investment projects to Bangladesh

12 November 2012
DHAKA, 12 November (BelTA) – Belarus is interested in long-term cooperation with the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and offers joint investment projects to that country, Belarus Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich told Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Dipu Moni on 11 November. Belarus views cooperation with Bangladesh as long-term based on mutual benefit, Mikhail Myasnikovich said. “We have come with concrete projects and are ready to trade and share our technologies and know-how,” he noted. Belarus is also keen on partnership with Bangladesh in education and personnel training. Belarusian universities are ready to welcome Bangladeshi students and expand cooperation in this area. “If you have any proposals we are ready to consider them,” the PM added. In his words, the two countries should strengthen their legal framework in order to implement joint projects. Belarus and Bangladesh are expected to sign 12 intergovernmental and ministerial international agreements and seven documents on partnership. Mikhail Myasnikovich told the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh about the development and potential of the Belarusian economy. The parties discussed prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation.
