Igor Petrishenko during a visit to the slavgorod central district hospital: improvements in hospital equipment continue in the regions

14 September 2023

The tasks set by the head of state to eliminate shortcomings in the healthcare sector are being fulfilled. Including in matters of retrofitting regional hospitals. This opinion was expressed by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko during a visit to the Slavgorod central regional hospital.

The shortcomings that were identified by monitoring groups at a certain time are being eliminated in the Slavgorod Central District Hospital, Igor Petrishenko noted during his acquaintance with the district health care institution:

– We are currently purchasing additional equipment. It seems to me that this healthcare institution will be brought to the parameters that comply with our regulatory requirements. We see a completely renovated building – the Slavgorod regional hospital. It is being retrofitted with the necessary medical equipment so that diagnostic and a number of other procedures are carried out with full technical equipment. Thus, people will be fully provided with qualified medical care at the district level.

By the way, in the first half of the year, at the expense of the republican budget, an ultrasound machine, an ophthalmoscope and an ophthalmologist’s workplace, a glucose analyzer, a defibrillator, and a video endoscopic system were purchased for health care institutions in the region - in the amount of more than 410 thousand rubles. Also, funds have been allocated from the local budget to replenish FAPs and AVOPs with ECGs, tonometers and other equipment, and to purchase equipment to equip the emergency department. We are currently purchasing a vacuum device for fixing the body, an ECG machine, a defibrillator, a pulse oximeter, and splints for immobilization.

Igor Petrishenko noted that the staffing level of nursing staff in the Slavgorod hospital is 100 percent. Also, the necessary conditions have been created here in terms of the level of material incentives and the level of equipment of workplaces. Doctors are provided with rental housing and dormitories.

By the way, the Slavgorod Central District Hospital underwent a large-scale renovation last year. The medical facility has updated its offices and purchased modern equipment. The renovation affected both the hospital itself and the clinic. According to the chief physician of the Slavgorod Central District Hospital Elena Aksenova , the conditions of stay for patients both in the hospital and in the clinic have changed for the better:

– Our network is represented by a hospital with 58 beds, a district clinic with 500 visits per shift. There are also two general practitioner outpatient clinics and nine paramedic and obstetric stations. Our healthcare institution serves the population of Slavgorod and the Slavgorod region with a total population of 12 thousand 393 people.
