Leonid Zayats on the preparation of BSAA students: breakthrough technologies have been introduced into the educational process

4 September 2023

The most modern and breakthrough technologies have been introduced into the educational process at the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. This opinion was expressed by Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats during the celebrations dedicated to the Day of Knowledge, which are taking place today at the university.

Leonid Zayats noted that it is a great honor for him to take part in the solemn event dedicated to the first day of the new academic year in one of the leading universities in our country, "which has trained a huge number of specialists and managers who work in the vastness of our state and impress with their results." “Being a student is an honor. And even more so as a student of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, whose roots go far, far into the past,” he said.

The vice-premier addressed the teachers of the university and wished them patience. He also expressed confidence that experienced teachers will educate representatives of the new generation not only as true professionals in their field, but also as worthy people who will be proud of the whole country in the future.

No holiday is complete without gifts. The Deputy Prime Minister handed over to the Rector of the Academy a certificate for improving the material and technical base.

Leonid Zayats visited today not only the solemn line, but also took part in the opening of new educational laboratories on the basis of the academy. “Today we have seen that the development of the academy does not stand still, it moves forward dynamically. Laboratories, classrooms, demonstrations of equipment and the latest technologies are breakthrough elements that today give a person the opportunity to seriously master a number of professions and be useful to our economy and our state,” he said.

The educational process must always keep pace with the times, the vice-premier noted. “Techniques and technologies are changing. To master them perfectly, you need to know them. At the academy, we see that there is everything necessary for a young person to master modern methods of crop programming, manage new machines and units, and have the opportunity not only to produce, but also to sell their products correctly. And all this is necessary so that young people are ready for modern life, and in the future they take control of the economy and our country,” he stressed.
