On May 24, the opening ceremony of the Days of Belarusian Culture in Vietnam took place at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House, the press service of the Ministry of Culture reports.
Addressing the participants and guests of the concert with a welcoming speech, First Deputy Minister of Culture of Belarus Valery Hromada noted that the Belarusian-Vietnamese dialogue is developing in various directions and sectors of the economy, but it is culture and art that fulfill a special mission - the spiritual rapprochement of people.
According to him, the Belarusian and Vietnamese peoples, having centuries-old historical heritage and rich cultural traditions, have the right to be proud of the pages of their history and are able to enrich each other.
Valery Gromada drew attention to the fact that the program of the Days of Culture of Belarus combines the traditions and achievements of different generations and demonstrates the richness and boundless beauty of the Belarusian national art.
The First Deputy Minister of Culture noted that the Belarusian artists were looking forward to this meeting. Through art, they will convey creative greetings to the Vietnamese people from millions of Belarusians who know Vietnam as a good ally and friend. He expressed hope that the Vietnamese audience will discover new bright names in the sky of performing arts. Meanwhile, Minsk will be waiting for the return visit of the creative delegation of Vietnam, he added.
The colorful concert that opened the Days of Belarusian Culture in Vietnam was attended by the Aura group, the Pesnyary ensemble, Honored Artists of Belarus Viktoria Aleshko, Alyona Lanskaya, Zhanet.
According to a good tradition, a group representing one of the regions of Belarus performed at the concert. This time it was the Medunitsa Song and Dance Ensemble from the Mogilev Region.
Prior to that, the Museum of Ho Chi Minh City opened an exhibition “Belarus through the eyes of an artist”. More than 30 works by Belarusian artists Anna Sadovskaya, Anton Vyrvo, Gleb Otchik and Anna Kononova are presented to the attention of visitors.
The Days of Belarusian Culture in Vietnam continued today in the province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
