7 June 2023
The Mogilev regional blood transfusion station has announced a campaign "A drop of goodness" for World Blood Donor Day, which is celebrated on June 14. This was reported in the health care facility.

On the eve of this date, everyone is invited to become participants in the "Drop of Goodness" campaign. To do this, you need to come to the institution and donate blood. Here, visitors will be told about donation, they will be offered a consultation with a therapist and a transfusiologist. During the action, an exhibition of children's drawings and a photo zone are open at the blood transfusion station. Potential donors need to bring along an identity document and an extract from medical documents received no later than six months ago.

“The donor movement unites those who care about the fate of people and who want to save the life of their neighbor by donating their own blood,” the blood transfusion station noted. - As a rule, such people talk about donation to their relatives and friends, explaining that it is really a sincere and humane act. Donation of blood and its components today has become one of the basic factors in the development of high-tech medical care. Donation is also of great importance in the protection of motherhood and childhood.”

Residents of three cities in the Mogilev region - Bobruisk, Klimovichi and Gorki can also join the action "A drop of goodness". They can donate blood at healthcare facilities located in these settlements: Bobruisk zonal blood transfusion station, Klimovichi and Gorki central district hospitals.

The regional blood transfusion station clarified that as of January 1, 2023, about 8 thousand donors of whole blood and more than 1 thousand donors of blood components live in the region. More than 20,000 liters of donated blood and 10,000 liters of plasma are prepared annually in the region.
