The Big Bard Fishing Festival is one of those musical gatherings that you miss all year long, waiting and getting ready for a new meeting. And although the weather on the eve of the festival did not please with warmth and sun, by the weekend, fans of the author's song and outdoor life from Belarus and Russia pulled up to Bykhovshchina: having thrown tents and fishing rods into the trunks, they went to the banks of the Chigirinsky reservoir to have fun. Because where else can you combine fishing with concerts of your favorite artists, and fragrant fish soup with a beauty contest?
"Feelings are magical!"
The creative menu of the festival this year was unusual and refined: "Bard-fishing" retains its multi-genre nature, which means that the poster can be found not only representatives of the classical line of author's song, although the lion's share of time and attention is still given to it, but also artists related areas. Russian guests became the headliners of the 2023 season. Gorgeous Irina Surina , working in the style of country folk - true music lovers remember her virtuoso vocals since the 1990s in the Corn group. Sergey Matveenko is the same classic bard, gray-haired and with a beard, who in two minutes ignites the audience so that the whole audience and all colleagues behind the stage sing along with him. Representative of the new wave of author's song, poet-musician Roman Filippov- an equation of crazy energy, guitar and voice.
- At the "Big Bard Fishing" for the first time, - Roman shared . - Here I see some incredible calm and peace, I see the interest of the audience in concerts. I really like the presence of a classical, traditional author's song. I like to hear and see the affirmation of life in the compositions performed at the festival. There is no aggression in this space - neither in sounds, nor in gestures.
Sergey Matveenko also got to Bard Fishing for the first time.
- But I heard about it, of course, because I have been aware of the affairs of this whole art form for a long time (because the author's song is still exactly a kind of art). Impressions are wonderful. I liked everything: the meeting, the composition of the competition, the composition of the speakers, and the organization. Well, the hospitable Belarusians also always feed deliciously, and this is a separate joy, - the bard joked .
Irina Orishchenko , Svetlana Panteleeva and Nadezhda Kovalenko , representatives of the Novosibirsk music festival "Siberia Station" added their confident note to the festival atmosphere . Muscovite Yekaterina Bozheva impressed with her gentle vocals and airy appearance . The well-known singer-songwriter from Vyazma, Lydia Chinareva , once again brought her young pupils from the club of the author's song "Dialogue" to the festival: the guys literally fell in love with both the audience and the older generation of artists.
Despite all the sanctions, a guest from Riga, Alexander Kazakov, also made it to the Belarusian festival (TV viewers may remember him from the Russian show "Voice", where he performed the song of Bulat Okudzhava for the first time in the history of the project). The young singer-songwriter was impressed by the level of "Big Bard Fishing":
“I am very glad that they found a place for me in the program. Feelings from Belarus are magical! I was here in 2005 in Vitebsk, I have the brightest memories, because I have never met such open and kind people anywhere, and of course, I wanted to relive this feeling again. I'm glad to see a festival of such a scale, because we don't have anything like it in Latvia, I'm glad to be here, to be in such a wonderful creative company!
The Belarusians did not lag behind the foreign guests: the art director of the festival, the Gomel bard-chansonnier Vyacheslav Korsa held his anniversary concert on the big stage, the women's trio "Fiesta" from Molodechno prepared a special program for children.
The presentation of the project “Songs of our circle” sounded like a powerful bid for the future – a kind of response to the sensational Russian “Songs of our century”.
The ensemble of Belarusian bards included Sergei Ponomarev, Sergei Antonov, Vyacheslav Korsa, Inessa Korol, Sergei Kulyagin, Yegor Gagin, Vitaly Kuzmich and the Fiesta trio. The project promotes the classics of the national author's song to the masses, and in this corpus of songs there are many noteworthy compositions.
Dollhouse
The guest from Tomsk, the bard Svetlana Paneleeva, came to Belarus not only as a singer, but also as a representative of the live puppet theater “2+KU”. The brainchild of the famous roboticist and puppet artist Vladimir Zakharov, who was known far beyond the borders of Russia, is now being promoted and supported by his friends.
“I came to Belarus with a doll called the Silent One,” said Svetlana. - She was Volodya's main character in the play "The Story of a Doll", it was with her that he became famous abroad. In general, there are very few masters in the world who, like Vladimir, are capable of creating and working with a doll on the wrist - no more than 20 - 30 people. The doll's role is a pantomime actor. This is a special genre, subtle, when all feelings must be expressed not through speech, but through movement. Silent has a very sensitive management system, it is not easy to work with him, for a year now we have been adapting to each other. I am very grateful to the producer of the "Big Bard Fishing" Sergei Kulyagin for the opportunity to perform at the festival not only with the author's song, but also to introduce Belarusians to the theater "2 + KU".
Make a step
An important part of the festival is a variety of competitions and tournaments. The competition of author's song and poetry "Own circle" annually gives novice authors and performers the opportunity for professional development, and the public - wonderful discoveries in the form of new faces and voices.
The Grand Prix of the competition this year will go to Balashikha near Moscow: the winner of the creative competition was Konstantin Rudnov, who captivated the jury with his author's compositions and high level of performance.
The places from the first to the third went to Belarusians: the first place went to Andrey Kurovsky from Minsk , the second place went to the Chance ensemble from Lepel, the third place went to Irina Bondarchik (Minsk).
Bobruisk resident Nikolay Shepetov became the winner of the fishing competition , he caught a record catch - a catfish weighing 27 kilograms.
One of the highlights of the festival is the “Queen of Bard Fishing” beauty contest, in which anyone can participate, regardless of age or leg length: unlike classic beauty contests, model thinness and height of a basketball player are not required here - the participants compete, demonstrating in the first turn their creativity, charm and spiritual qualities. The winner was Alena Davydkova from Minsk , an employee of the Beltelecom company, a mother of two children.
- We have been coming to the festival for many years, and of course, I have repeatedly watched the competition, - Alena shared . “But I decided to participate only now. Perhaps the male part of my family will try to conquer the fishing competition next year. In any case, we will definitely return to Bard Fishing: there is amazing music here!
