In honor of the 160th anniversary of the temple, a religious procession was held in the Kostyukovichi district

On Sunday, with the blessing of Archbishop Sophrony of Mogilev and Mstislav, a procession was held dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God of Kazan in the village of Prusino, Kostyukovichi district. The wooden church was built in 1863.

The festive day began with the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Kazan Church, which was officiated by Archpriest Georgy Salobuto, co-served by Priest Nikolai Lyashkevich, rector of the Dormition Church in the urban village of Krasnopole. With chants glorifying the Most Holy Theotokos, following the Kazan Image of the Mother of God, the procession went along the route Prusino-Kostyukovichi-Prusino, said Olga Maksimovich, a participant in the procession, head of the Club of Traditional Slavic Values ​​of the Klimovichi Central District Library .

At the end of the procession, a festive prayer service was performed near the Image of the Kazan Mother of God. And after the participants were offered refreshments. Buckwheat porridge, fish soup, pastries and sweets with tea were to everyone's taste.

The ensemble of amateur performances "Harmony" of the Kostyukovichi RCSON took part in the festive concert. For the participants of the procession, pupils of the Sunday school of the Assumption Church in the urban village of Krasnopolye also spoke.

The rector of the parish, Archpriest Georgy Salobuto, congratulated everyone on the occasion and thanked the parishioners who had worked especially hard. In his congratulations, he stressed that the holiday is intended to remind of the unity of not only peoples, but also generations around common spiritual ideals, values ​​and traditions.
