Mogilev Regional Art Museum. P.V. Maslenikova invites residents of Mogilev and guests of the city to visit the "Night of Museums" and "Museum Weekends". This was reported in the cultural institution.
The series of events will be opened by the "Night of Museums" on May 19 . A part of the event will be a concert of classical music performed by artists of the Mogilev Regional Philharmonic. The halls of the museum will feature works by composers from different eras. Start at 21.00.
On Saturday, May 20 , from 13:00 to 14:00, museum staff offer to participate in a sightseeing tour, during which they will tell about the history of the building, its amazing architecture and features, about the mysterious safe room and the disappeared treasures. In addition, visitors will learn about the individual stages of the development of the art museum, as well as get acquainted with the permanent exhibitions "Preserved Population", "Gallery of the People's Artist of Belarus P.V. Maslenikov" and "The Secret of the Cross".
On Sunday, May 21 , from 13:00 to 14:00, an interactive lesson “Once upon a time there were books” (6+) will take place. The meeting is designed for children of preschool and primary school age. Acquaintance with the history of books, their appearance on the territory of Belarus will be held in an exciting game format. In addition, the kids will be introduced to the historical events of the XVII-XX centuries. Mogilev region through exciting tasks: making an engraving, searching for an ancient exhibit, writing on wax, writing with a pen on paper.
