The number of military-patriotic and historical tourist-excursion routes has increased in the Mogilev region. They also reflect the newly established facts of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War. This was reported in the information service of the prosecutor's office of the Mogilev region.
Based on the results of supervisory activities, the prosecutor's office of the region proposed to the leadership of the department of sports and tourism of the Mogilev regional executive committee to integrate new routes into the tourist and excursion activities of the region, to adjust the excursion routes taking into account the newly established facts during the investigation of the criminal case on the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.
Previously, 22 military-patriotic and historical tourist and excursion routes were developed in the region. However, the current excursion offers did not fully cover the tourist potential of the region. In some areas of the region, excursion routes were not developed at all. According to the results of the inspection conducted by the prosecutor's office of the Mogilev region, 24 new military-patriotic and historical tourist-excursion routes appeared in the region.
So, in the Mstislavsky district, where there is a memorial complex "Mound of Glory", "Grieving Mother", Kagalny ditch - a place of mass execution of Jews and burial places of people of other nationalities, Peace Park, the tourist route was developed on behalf of the regional prosecutor's office.
There is a new excursion route to memorable places in the Krichevsky district. It includes the sculptural composition "Singing" in the village of Prudok, the mound of glory "Eternal memory of the heroes" and other objects.
In addition to the development of new tourist routes, after the proposal of the prosecutor's office of the region, adjustments were made to the existing excursion offers.
In particular, the State Unitary Enterprise "Mogilevobltourist" conducts an excursion route "Defense of the city of Mogilev during the Great Patriotic War." At the suggestion of the prosecutor's office, a memorial complex-ensemble on Lazarenko Street was added for visiting, which includes monuments to the soldiers-liberators and "Children of the World - Children of War."
The excursion route "Dnipro Frontier", which passes through the memorial complex "Buinichskoye Pole", Shklov, Bykhov and the agro-town of Ludchitsy, also includes the burial place of war victims "The Mound of Memory" - this is a place of mass destruction of civilians and a mass grave of Soviet soldiers who died in June 1944, during the liberation of the village from the Nazi invaders, located in the agricultural town of Polykovichi, Mogilev region.
