The Belarusian Public Association of Veterans is holding a children's drawing contest "We are bequeathed to protect the world," the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reported.
The competition is dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It is called upon to continue the work of preserving and perpetuating the memory, heroism and courage of Soviet soldiers during the war years, as well as the memory of the victims of war and the Holocaust on the territory of Belarus, by means of artistic drawing.
Creative competition is held in three age categories: 7-9, 10-12 and 13-15 years. Competitive materials can be made on several topics: “They fought for the Motherland”, “My dear veterans”, “Victory holiday through the eyes of children”, “My family and the Great Victory”, “Children draw the heroes of the Great Patriotic War”.
There are four stages. At the first stage - until February 27, 2023 - the best works at the regional level will be determined. At the second stage - until March 13 - the works selected by the district veteran organizations are sent for consideration to the regional veteran organizations and Minsk. Until April 3, materials (no more than three drawings in each age category, as a rule, those that won first, second and third places) will be submitted to the Republican Council of the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans. The results of the competition will be summed up by April 30.
Participants who take first, second and third places in each age group will receive the titles of laureates of the competition, diplomas and valuable gifts. The rest of the finalists of the competition are awarded the title of diploma winner of the competition and souvenirs are presented.
