Recently, in the agro-town of Alexandria, Shklovsky district, a meeting of the permanent republican organizing committee for holding the Kupalle holiday (Alexandria gathers friends) was held with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko. It assessed the preparations for the festival, which will be held on July 8.
Every year Alexandria gathers more and more friends, Igor Petrishenko noted:
“Those who came here before take their friends to touch such a powerful, friendly and sincere festival, which is held at the initiative of the Head of our state. All the color of Belarusian culture and folklore is concentrated here, our famous masters of applied art demonstrate their best achievements.
It is important that many friends and colleagues from Russia come to us every year: according to preliminary data, representatives of more than 19 regions will visit our festival and take an active part in it. Alexandria welcomes guests from Astrakhan, Volgograd, Voronezh, Ryazan, Kaluga, Dagestan, Udmurtia and many other Russian regions.
The holiday starts at 11:00 - at this time, thematic sites, including youth ones, will start working. First of all, guests will be presented with domestic brands and products, which will be placed at the locations of Zroblena ў Belarus, #MerchPervogo, Aleksandriyskaya Gascinaya, and Handlyova Supolka. Special attention is given to sites dedicated to the preservation of historical and cultural heritage. Regions of Belarus and Russia, as well as other countries will present their expositions under the general title "Amulet of Peace and Union Unity".
According to Igor Petrishenko , due attention is paid to youth in the program of the holiday. So, this year, during the festival, the final of the republican family agricultural project "Lord of the Village" will traditionally be held. In Alexandria, young families who have achieved results and passed serious trials will be honored.
“For the first time this year, we are planning a joint concert with the Russian Federation within the framework of the Union State, which will take place at the site in Alexandria before our main gala concert,” Igor Petrishenko specified. — An interesting component is the demonstration of new products of domestic manufacturers, representatives of all regions. On the eve of the II Games of the CIS countries, the most important sporting event that will be held in our country from August 4 to 14, it will be demonstrated how we are preparing for this important event. I want to emphasize that every year the holiday "Kupalye" becomes more diverse and interesting.
The symbol of Kupala in Alexandria this year will be a three-dimensional figure of a flying stork, said Valery Malashko, deputy chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee. This amulet of the Belarusian land will be used in the design of the stage. The festive venues themselves will be decorated taking into account the Belarusian state symbols and the symbols of the Union State, they will be supplemented with the logos of the Year of Peace and Creation, the Kupalye holiday.
Guests will be surprised by various thematic locations. For example, it is planned to present a photographic exhibition of the Union State dedicated to the history of the origin of the festival in Alexandria. Two stage venues - small and large - will host a variety of events designed for all ages. The airspace will also be involved: DOSAAF organizes demonstration flights with performances by paratroopers. Movie fans will be invited to the field cinema. There will also be a Circus Festival with spectacular shows and performances.
The big Kupala concert will be held in the format of a folk music ring: two agro-towns Alexandria and Kopys will enter the creative competition. The main creative opponents were not chosen by chance, because the festival traditionally takes place on the picturesque bank of the Dnieper near the bridge that connects the Mogilev and Vitebsk regions. The plot will unfold around folk characters - Grandfather and Baba, who argued which inhabitants of which settlement are more talented and musical. As part of a creative duet, actors Vladimir Voronkov and Honored Artist of Belarus, artistic director of the Y. Kupala Theater Olga Nefedova will take to the festive stage. Together with them, popular TV presenters Ekaterina Tishkevich and Pavel Lazovik will work in the concert program. Spectators will traditionally be the judges of the musical duel. To do this, each of them will have a special subject for voting - a big hand. Of course, the process of counting the votes will be a joke, and in the end, friendship will win.
And then - dancing until the morning! Youth disco "Kupala Mix" will start with a laser show.
Traditionally, the holiday in Alexandria will be not only fun, but also satisfying. The shopping arcade will stretch for almost two kilometers. The field will house 240 objects - both indoor pavilions and spacious summer cafes. For comparison: last year there were 170 retail facilities.
