Belarusian rescue workers in tactical exercise at Mogilev railway station

A special tactical exercise focusing on cleaning up an emergency will take place at the railway station Lupolovo in Mogilev on 17 November, the Mogilev Oblast branch of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry told BelTA.

Representatives of the Emergencies Ministry, gas supply service, railway workers, and medics will take part in the exercise. A leak of liquefied gas in a tank car will be simulated. Participants of the exercise will have to promptly respond to the emergency and coordinate their actions in the process.

The Mogilev Oblast branch of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry said the exercise will help improve practical skills of command bodies and rescue workers in the course of organizing and carrying out the disaster response. It will also train the personnel how to deal with an emergency during the transportation of hazardous cargoes.
