MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) – Belgazprombank is ready to allocate Br300 billion to support Beltransgaz, chairman of the board of the bank Viktor Babariko told media on 23 March. “Now regions pay for services of Beltransgaz, their main gas supplier, in foreign currency. Therefore we have developed a program which we estimate at up to $300 million, $50 million for each region. This amount is enough to cover all possible gaps the companies in the energy sector might have. This amount also meets our capital adequacy ratio. We hope the program will be economically beneficial for borrowing companies,” Viktor Babariko noted. “As for cooperation with Beltransgaz, we set aside over Br300 billion more to support any cash deficiency or investment programs,” the official added.
