China SCO Technology Transfer Center to set up coordination center in Minsk

The China SCO Technology Transfer Center will set up a coordination center in Minsk. Relevant agreement was signed during a visit of a delegation of the China SCO Technology Transfer Center to Minsk on 20 August. The visit of the center's delegation is timed to coincide with the official visit of Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Qiang to Belarus, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

During the meeting, Sergei Nabeshko, Director General of the Minsk Office of the BelCCI, and Zhao Zhongyuan, Director of the China SCO Technology Transfer Center, signed an agreement on the establishment of a joint coordination center of the China SCO Technology Transfer Center in Minsk.

The center shall be tasked with providing international services in innovation, science, technology, business, economy and trade, attracting investments, creating joint educational programs, arranging visits, internships and training programs.

The parties outlined the major areas of cooperation: education, medicine, trade, investment, science and technology.

The parties also lauded the results of a business visit to Qingdao in August 2023 during which the Minsk Office of the BelCCI and the China SCO Technology Transfer Center signed a cooperation agreement.
