Over 600 Belarusian SMEs granted state support in H1 2023

Over 600 small and medium enterprises received state support in H1 2023, the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry told BelTA.

The total volume of state support received by Belarusian SMEs in January-June 2023 reached Br191 million.

Most of the money went into the manufacturing sector. The top 5 kinds of activities that received borrowed resources (repayable and non-repayable ones) also included agriculture, transport, trade, and healthcare.

About two thirds of the total volume of support from the state budget is allocated as loans and leasing schemes. Another fourth is granted as preferential-rate loans.

As far as regions are concerned, projects were implemented in Vitebsk Oblast and Mogilev Oblast most often.
