The government has taken measures to financially support theaters

The Government of the Republic of Belarus has taken measures to support theaters. This was reported by the Nationallegal portal.

Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated December 12, 2023 No. 874 is aimed at implementing the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated August 31, 2023 No. 275 “On the support of individual state cultural organizations.”

The document establishes a standard for ensuring the current activities of 28 theaters in rubles.

The resolution also approved the procedure for planning budget funds to finance expenses related to the ongoing activities of theaters.

Its volume is determined from the standard for ensuring the current activities of the theater, performance indicators in the planned financial year, income received by the theater from the provision of services for showing the play, and other activities.

The legal act also approved a provision that established the procedure for providing theaters with subsidies to finance expenses associated with the implementation of current activities.
