Athletes of the Mogilev region won gold and silver medals at the Republican Spartakiad of schoolchildren-2023

The Republican Spartakiad of schoolchildren-2023 is taking place in the Gomel region. About 2.5 thousand young athletes take part in the country's largest youth sports forum. Competitions are held in 25 sports. The sports delegation of the Mogilev region alone consists of 339 people.

As reported in the Mogilev Regional Center for Physical Education and Sports of Pupils and Students, as of June 19, Minsk was the clear leader with 593 points scored. Grodno region came second (535). Gomel and Mogilev fought hard for the Spartakiad "bronze" with a difference of only one point (462 versus 461). Vitebsk (386) and Brest (384) were slightly behind. Minsk region with 282.

In the current medal asset of athletes from the Mogilev region, there are "gold" in chess, boxing, freestyle wrestling (girls), "silver" in handball (boys + girls), freestyle wrestling (boys).

The competition will run until June 21st. On this day, the winners and prize-winners will be awarded. The event will end with the closing ceremony of the Republican Spartakiad of schoolchildren-2023.
