Belarus' fixed-capital investments at Br6.7bn in Q1 2023


Belarus' fixed-capital investments in Q1 2023 have been calculated, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.

In January-March 2023 fixed-capital investments amounted to Br6.7 billion. As far as the main kinds of economic activities are concerned, 26.8% of the investments went into real estate operations (including investments channeled into housing construction), 19.6% into processing industry, 16.2% into agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, 7.6% into supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and conditioned air, 5.5% into transportation and warehousing, mail and courier deliveries.

As far as technologies are concerned, fixed-capital investments can be broken down into construction and installation work (48.6%), machines, equipment, and vehicles (37.4%), and other kinds of work and costs (14%).

The share of state investments in the total fixed-capital investments reached 40.3%, with the share of private investments at 52.3% and foreign investments at 7.4%.
