Participants of the "train of memory" remembered those who died during the liberation of Mogilev on the Buinichi field

The memorial complex "Buinichskoye Pole" is a symbolic place for the guys from the "Memory Train". Each of the Belarusian young patriots knows from history that there was a line of Soviet defense here and there were fierce battles for the liberation of the regional center. Each of the guys, laying flowers in this place, remembered his hero. For Nikolai Zaretsky from Oshmyany, this is Gabriel's great-grandfather.

He was called to serve in the last years of the war. At the same time, great-grandfather reached Berlin itself! He was a very conscientious fighter, but received two wounds - in the temple and in the arm. By the way, he often showed scars. They managed to get a fragment from his hand, and in the temple he remained with him for the rest of his life. He died in 2016, so I was able to talk to him. Every May 9, he was seated at the table in a place of honor and listened to his stories. Therefore, standing on the Buinichi field, I understand that the same men, fighters, as my great-grandfather died here. Eternal memory to them.

And Maxim Alekseev from Minsk did not manage to communicate with his great-grandfather, even though he lived for 106 years:

- But in the family we still pass on stories about him. He also fought, was busy blowing up the Germans. But we not only honor the history of the Great Patriotic War in our family, in Belarus as a whole a lot is done for memory. For example, my 70th school in Minsk is named after the Hero of the Soviet Union - Leonty Gurtiev. He became famous for having formed the 308th division in Omsk and prepared it so that it could withstand the most brutal onslaught of the Nazis in Stalingrad. And in this city, by the way, we were also with the Memory Train.
